Is AccessOPEN currently available in my state?AccessOPEN has providers located in multiple states, however Georgia has been selected for the initial statewide program rollout. We have hand-selected a group of highly respected medical providers to service our AO members.

How many providers are within the AccessOPEN Network?There are currently over 1,400 highly reputable, board-certified providers within the AccessOPEN Network. Our screening process for recruiting providers is purposeful and meticulous, so that we can offer access to the best in quality, service and outcomes. In addition, we focus on ease of accessibility and convenient appointment times for our members. What type of services does AccessOPEN offer?AO offers a myriad of healthcare related services. This includes, but is not limited to, urgent and primary care, specialist, dental, pharmacy, physical therapy, pediatrics and much more. Are mental health providers a part of the AccessOPEN Network?Yes. We provide a range of mental health specialties within the AO Network. This includes, but is not limited to, psychologists, psychiatrists, professional counselors, as well as private and convenient telemedicine services.

Will AccessOPEN replace my medical insurance?No. AccessOPEN is not a health insurance provider and therefore, is not a replacement for traditional medical insurance. Although, our discounted medical services are provided at significant savings to AO members and do not include other costs found with a health insurance policy such as, deductibles, copays and coinsurance. Indeed, many US families elect to carry a catastrophic insurance policy to supplement the discounted, non-catastrophic services that AccessOPEN offers. A catastrophic policy may come in handy for those types of services that are not available through AO, such as cancer care, acute strokes, heart attacks, or serious injury traumas. Can I have medical insurance in addition to my membership to AccessOPEN?Yes. AccessOPEN is not a health insurance plan. It is designed to offer services at a discounted rate, that in most instances far exceeds that provided under the high deductibles of some insurance plans. Simply put, it can often be cheaper to use the membership for health-related services than to use your own health insurance. Therefore, many members with high premiums and deductibles choose AccessOPEN as an addition to traditional health insurance coverage. In addition, some of our members may not have any traditional health insurance coverage and have selected AccessOPEN as an affordable option for quality medical services for themselves and their families.

What does the AccessOPEN membership fee include?The AO membership fee gives unlimited access to the AccessOPEN Network of over 1,400 medical providers. These medical services are provided with discounted rates of up to 42% on a wide selection of general and specialty medical, dental and hospital services. No more premiums and deductibles.

How much will I pay at my medical appointment?The cost of services is determined depending on your health care needs and request. This will vary from a simple well-care or pediatric visit, to those that may require a comprehensive consultation by a specialist involving additional services such as x-rays or labs. In any case, your AO Member Specialist will provide a discounted rate of up to 42% on all services. As a member of AccessOPEN, you only pay for what you need. Quotes are often provided to our members in advance of the appointment, allowing full transparency of the expected total cost. If additional services are required, your provider will be instructed to notify AccessOPEN so that we may get your authorization prior to any services being rendered. No surprise medical billing!

What type of providers are in the AccessOPEN Network?Essentially, the entire range of providers and specialties are in the AO Network. This ranges from Cardiology, Nephrology, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Pain Management, Podiatry, Gynecology, Urology, just to name a few. In addition, the network includes Urgent Care Centers, hospital services, mental health, dental, imaging and x-rays, physical therapy and much more. We also offer primary care visits, nurse practitioners, and Internal Medical services as part of a very extensive and inclusive telemedicine service. Are AccessOPEN medical providers board-certified?Yes. Each member of our specialty network, as well as our primary care physicians are all board-certified. AccessOPEN requires that all physicians keep certifications current and continue ongoing medical education to remain active in the AccessOPEN Network.

Can my company offer AccessOPEN membership to its employees?Employers and small businesses can take advantage of AO to offer medical coverage to their employees. ‘AccessOPEN for Business’ allows the employer to select the type and level of coverage they want to offer their employees and pay the monthly or annual membership fee. In addition, the AO membership fees are so affordable, some employers may offer an additional amount to the employee to be used toward medical appointments throughout the year. ‘AccessOPEN for Business’ may be a preferable, additional option for employers to offer their employees.

How long does it take to get an appointment?Urgent care appointments are available immediately. Through our easy, convenient ‘concierge’ scheduling service, most appointments can set and completed between 48 - 72 hours depending on the type of services requested.

How does AccessOPEN offer such substantial healthcare savings?AO is a proprietary provider network that has negotiated on behalf of our members, discounted rates that far exceed those that are usual and customary within the medical community. These rates have been negotiated by AO with each of our providers within the AO network.

What procedures are covered within the AccessOPEN Network?Most common outpatient or elective surgical procedures are covered. This includes, but is not limited to, general primary care, preventative and well-care, hernia repair, orthopedic procedures and colonoscopies, just to name a few. In addition, many imaging studies are covered as well, such as MRIs, CAT scans, ultrasounds, and electromyography (EMGs). Services that may not be covered will likely include major accidents or other acute traumatic accidents that require hospitalization and/or emergency trauma related services, obstetrics, or long-term cancer related types of care. How do I pay for medical services that have been rendered?The AccessOPEN payment process requires the simple use of a credit and/or debit card securely registered on file upon joining. Your bank card will be charged (24) hours in advance of your appointment, only for the services you are scheduled at the time of your appointment. Our members appreciate knowing their cost of service upfront, easy authorization of payment in advance and not being concerned with any payments to the doctor. comfortable and experienced with ordering all types of services online. Do I need to be an U.S. citizen to join AccessOPEN?No. AccessOPEN and each of the medical service providers in the AO network believes all people should have equal access to affordable health care.

What if I have a pre-existing conditionNo problem. Pre-existing conditions do not effect use of your AO membership to access the services available from our network of service providers.

What is a ‘DMPO’?A ‘Discount Medical Provider Organization’ or group is a specialized proprietary network that has negotiated terms of discounted medical services for members within its organization. This type of program is currently allowed in select states as an alternative or additional coverage program for affordable health care.

Can I schedule my medical appointments in advance?Yes. AO has an easy appointment scheduling process by phone and online. From preventative and well-care services to same day urgent care visits, AO offers fast, convenient appointments to fit your schedule.

Do I make a payment while at my doctor’s appointment?No. All payments are processed and secured prior to your medical visit. There is no reason for you to make any additional payments at the time of your health care visit. If the provider suggests that you make an additional payment, simply refuse and notify us immediately at (855) 955-OPEN, as this is not the protocol of the AccessOPEN program.

Who do I call if I have an emergency medical issue?It is advised that if you are having a true medical emergency that you call your local 911 medical services. This is in an effort to treat your emergency or life-threatening condition. If, however, you have a routine medical condition that needs an appointment, please call us or schedule your appointment at www.accessopen.org

Are there any penalties to cancel my membership?No. Your membership may be canceled at any time. However, there is a penalty to canceling your medical appointment without a 24-hour advanced notice. Please visit www.accessopen.org for further information.

Can I see a physician without my AccessOPEN card?Yes. As soon as your membership is approved within the system, you have access to the AO Network of providers. However, all appointments must be scheduled by phone with AO Member Services at (855) 955-OPEN or online at www.accessopen.org, using your AO Member ID #. Please note that you will receive a physical AccessOPEN Membership card in the mail, along with your New Member Packet, usually within 3-5 business days of joining, via USPS. If you have not received your card within 3-5 business days, please notify us and a new card will be forthcoming. For further information, please visit www.accessopen.org

What if I miss my appointment?We understand that life happens, so rescheduling an appointment is certainly acceptable for all of our members. However, a cancellation notice is required at least 24-hours prior to your visit. This will avoid any cancellation fees which may result in a $25.00 no show fee.

I forgot the date of my appointment. How can I find out?By simply calling AccessOPEN Member Services at (855) 955-OPEN. In addition, you will receive a courtesy call reminding you of your appointment, usually 24-48 hours prior to the scheduled date. It is during this call that any and all final payments are made for the upcoming appointment using the bank card on file.

How can I update my member profile or bank information?You can make secure updates to your Member Profile at any time using the AccessOPEN Member Portal at www.accessopen.org, or by contacting AccessOPEN Member Services at (855) 955-OPEN.

What if I do not speak English?No problem. AO speaks or offers translation for all of the following languages by our Member Services and medical appointments: Spanish, French, Italian, Croatian, Serbian, Chinese, Arabic, Danish, and Russian. Please visit www.accessopen.org for further information.

Do I need to have a job to join AO?No. As long as members can pay for their membership and professional services for which they have made appointments.

I joined AO during the Introductory Offer period. Will my monthly fee change?No. AccessOPEN is happy to offer our initial members a rate that will never be offered again. It’s our way of saying “Thank you for your support and entrusting us with your medical care as we disrupt the traditional healthcare model with a new, affordable ‘DMPO’ concept in healthcare across the country”.

How long after I join AO, can I make my first appointment."Immediately. One of the benefits of joining AccessOPEN is your immediate access to a medical network of hundreds of qualified physicians and medical providers. You may schedule your first appointment after a few quick minutes of registration.
